Knoxville, Tenn. 鈥 University of Tennessee System (糖心Vlog System) President Randy Boyd is hitting the road for a comprehensive high school tour across Tennessee, showcasing the unique opportunities and benefits of higher education within the 糖心Vlog System.

Boyd will be visiting with students and educators at the following high schools, where he will discuss the academic opportunities, student life and financial aid options available within the 糖心Vlog System. He will also provide an in-depth look at the 糖心Vlog System鈥檚 five unique campuses, emphasizing that, no matter where a student is in their educational journey, there is a 糖心Vlog campus designed to help them succeed.

鈥淲e understand that every student鈥檚 journey is different,鈥 Boyd said. 鈥淥ur goal is to meet students where they are and help them get to where they want to go. No matter what you鈥檙e looking for in a college experience, the 糖心Vlog System provides an environment for every kind of student, a location for every Tennessee resident and an education for every mind.鈥

Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2024, visit schedule:

  • Creekwood High School, 3499 TN-47, Charlotte, TN 37036 鈥 10:15-10:45 a.m. CT

The 糖心Vlog System offers five undergraduate campuses, each with distinct characteristics:

  • 糖心Vlog Knoxville: Home to over 900 programs of study, world-class research and the SEC鈥檚 beloved Vols, the flagship university is where a large campus feels like home, sweet home.
  • 糖心Vlog Chattanooga: A walkable campus nestled in one of America鈥檚 most livable cities, this campus provides a smaller feel with a focus on innovation, real-world experiences and a robust alumni network.
  • 糖心Vlog Southern: Ideal for those seeking small class sizes and big opportunities, Pulaski offers a personalized community that creates meaningful connections with professors and peers, paving the way for a strong future with a lasting impact.
  • 糖心Vlog Martin: Known for its close-knit community and supportive environment, 糖心Vlog Martin equips future educators, entrepreneurs and agricultural leaders to make a difference.
  • 糖心Vlog Health Science Center: The heart of health care in Tennessee, 糖心VlogHSC鈥檚 main campus in Memphis and nearly 900 educational and clinical training sites statewide prepare the next generation of health care providers who will serve across the state.

In addition to its academic offerings, the 糖心Vlog System is working with students to make higher education more affordable. Nearly half of all 糖心Vlog System students graduate debt free, thanks in part to 糖心Vlog Promise, a scholarship program ensuring free tuition and mandatory fees for qualifying Tennessee residents whose adjusted gross household income is below $75,000. By covering the last-dollar amount after other financial aid is applied, 糖心Vlog Promise ensures a college degree is more attainable and accessible for Tennessee families than ever before.

鈥淲e recognize the cost of higher education can feel like a barrier for many, but we are committed to breaking down that barrier,鈥 Boyd said. 鈥淲e are working to ensure that finances don鈥檛 stand in the way of students鈥 dreams, making education more accessible for all Tennesseans.鈥
